12:20 - 1:20 each day following orchestra camp
Clinton Presbyterian Church
Tuition $125
We are very excited to offer a Fiddling Class with Graham Cohen in July!
The class is separate from camp (you can do one, or the other - or both) and will take place at 12:20-1:20 pm each day, with coach, Graham Cohen.
Music will be learned by ear, rather than with sheet music, in authentic fiddling fashion. Musicians playing the following instruments (entering grade 7 through adult) are encouraged to join: violin, viola, cello, bass, guitar, banjo, and bodhran (Irish drum). If you play a different instrument and would like to join, please inquire before registering.

A bit about Graham:
Graham plays violin, viola, viola d’amore, Norwegian Hardanger fiddle, and banjo – in a wide range of musical genres from classical to contemporary, chamber to historical, and various styles of fiddling.

Originally from Arizona, Graham’s family moved to New Jersey upon his acceptance to Juilliard’s Pre-College division. Graham now holds both a Bachelor of Music and a Master of Music degree from the school – and gave the first-ever Hardanger fiddle performance at Juilliard as part of his graduation recital.
He performs regularly in the greater New Jersey and New York City area, as well as in Quebec and Montreal, and has played under many top conductors, including John Adams, Marin Alsop, and David Robertson.

A prolific composer, Graham received his first ASCAP award at age 10: the Charlotte Bergen Scholarship in ASCAP’s Morton Gould Young Composer Awards and remains the youngest ever to win that top prize. His works have been performed in the US, Canada, Australia and Europe.
