The Hunterdon Symphony Orchestra Camp is open to advanced students of orchestral instruments (excluding piano) entering grade 7 through adult. Middle and High School students gain confidence in ensemble playing, which they will later bring to their school orchestra settings.

Camp is not just for kids! Many adults use the program as a bridge back to ensemble playing, while some are new to their instruments.

The repertoire chosen for the week is the same as that used by professional symphonies worldwide - not simplified or reduced scores. This year’s program will be revealed later in the spring.

Students spend five days of sessions, 9:00 am - noon, working in small groups with coaches from Hunterdon Symphony, and together as a full orchestra conducted by Lawrence Kursar.

Music is learned and performed in this 5-day period, ensuring a fast-paced, intense working environment.  The week culminates with a concert performed before an audience of family and friends.

Music for registered students will be available for pick up after June 8. Registration Form and Tuition are due at time of music pick up.

The final concert will be on Friday, July 10, 8:00 pm at:

Clinton Presbyterian Church

91 Center Street, Clinton, NJ 08809
